Keemun Congou Tea

(2 customer reviews)

Full bodied, sweet and a bit smoky describe this traditional Chinese black tea grown in the Anhui province.

Product Description

The medium-sized, thinly rolled leaves of this classic, black Keemun tea offer an aroma of slightly smoky leather. You’ll find the smokiness becomes a little more prominent in the flavor of the steeped cup. The tea’s pleasantly, tannic liquor is robust and persistent in the mouth with a lovely, sweet finish and beautiful, coppery amber hue. Keemuns are known as The Burgundy of Teas and this variety lives up to the moniker. From the Qimen County in Anhui Province, China. Kosher.

Water Temperature: 200 - 212 Degrees
Steeping Time: 3 - 5 Minutes
Growing Region(s): China
Type: Black Tea

Not only is the price right, but the tea is excellent. Nice amber liquid with full body and slight citrus over tones.

I have been buying this tea for years and it never disappoints. Other teas are a pale comparison. And the price is right!
